The Victron Multi RS Solar Hybrid Inverter/Charger - PMR482602020 is a 48V, 6kVA inverter/charger with two independent 3kWp and 450V MPPT tracking inputs for a total of 6kWp of photovoltaic power.

Thanks to high-frequency technology and a new design, this powerful inverter weighs only 11 kg. In addition to this, it has excellent efficiency, low standby consumption and operates very quietly.

The display shows the battery, inverter and solar power parameters. The same parameters can be accessed via a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device using the app. VictronConnect.

Hybrid mode: Stores excess solar energy in a battery for use at night or during periods of high demand. Supplies additional power from the battery when demand exceeds grid capacity.
Backup mode: Switches to backup mode during a mains power failure.
Off-grid mode: It operates off-grid.
Generator mode: Controls the generator to minimise running hours. Supplies additional power from the battery when demand exceeds generator capacity.

PowerControl and PowerAssist: Increasing the capacity of the grid or a generator

A maximum current can be set for the grid or generator.
The Multi RS will take other AC loads into account and use any excess to charge the battery, thus avoiding overloading the generator or the grid (PowerControl function). PowerAssist takes the PowerControl principle to a higher level. When maximum power is required for a limited period, the Multi RS will compensate for the lack of generator or grid power with energy from the battery. When the load decreases, the surplus energy is used to recharge the battery.

Display, Bluetooth and the VictronConnect app

The display shows the battery, inverter and solar power parameters. The same parameters can be accessed via a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device using the VictronConnect app.

Extendable PV capability, both AC coupled and DC coupled

The integrated PV capacity of 6 kWp can be expanded by adding solar chargers to the system. Alternatively, the PV capacity can be expanded by installing PV inverters, the output power of which will be automatically controlled by the integrated frequency shifting power control.
