With integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor is ready for the era of the Internet of Things. Thanks to its wireless connection, it can communicate with other Victron products to simplify installation and improve performance.
With integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor is ready for the era of the Internet of Things. Thanks to the fact that most of the other products from Victron Energy have integrated Bluetooth, wireless communication between them simplifies the installation of systems and improves their performance.
Use your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to:
- customise the settings,
- to consult all important data on a single screen,
- view historical data
- update the software as new functions are added.
All electrical connections are made to the power shunt's quick connect PCB. The shunt is connected to the monitor via a standard RJ12 telephone cable.
Included: RJ 12 cable (10 m) and battery cable with fuse (2 m); no more required.
Also included is a front screen trim plate, square or round, a rear fixing ring and screws for front mounting.
This function is generally used to monitor large battery banks at a high cost. With the Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor we can monitor this parameter for a much lower cost. A battery bank consists of a string of cells connected in series. The midpoint tension is the tension obtained in the middle of this chain. Ideally, the mid-point voltage would be exactly half of the total voltage. However, in practice, deviations will be seen depending on many factors, such as the different state of charge of new batteries or cells, their different temperatures, internal leakage currents, capacities and much more.
Significant or increasing deviations from the mid-point voltage indicate improper maintenance or failure of a battery or cell. Corrective action taken after a mid-point voltage alarm can prevent possible damage to a battery.
Power consumption: 0.7Ah per month (1mA) @ 12V and 0.6Ah per month (0.8mA) @ 24V
In particular, Li-Ion batteries are virtually depleted of their capacity when they are discharged to the low-voltage cut-off level.
After low voltage disconnection of the cells, the reserve capacity of a Li-ion battery is approximately 1Ah per 100Ah capacity. The battery will be damaged if the remaining reserve capacity of the battery is removed. A residual current of 10mA, for example, can damage a 200 Ah battery if the system is left in a discharged state for more than 8 days.
Prevents the current drain from increasing in the event of an alarm.
- Voltage, current, power, ampere-hours consumed and state of charge of the battery
- Remaining autonomy at current discharge rate.
- Programmable visual and audible alarm
- Programmable relay, to disconnect non-critical loads or to start a generator if necessary.
- 500 amp quick connect shunt and connection kit
- Selection of shunt capacity up to 10,000 amps
- VE.Direct communication port
- Stores a wide range of historical data that can be used to assess usage patterns and battery condition
- Wide input voltage range: 6.5 Ț "70V
- High current measurement resolution: 10 mA (0.01A)
- Additional input for measuring voltage (from a second battery), temperature or mid-point voltage and corresponding alarm and relay settings.

At FVComponents.com we have stock of the references with the highest turnover, however our catalogue is so wide and economical because we work with many of the references on request. This means that the usual delivery time of 2-4 working days can be extended to 1-2 weeks + subsequent shipment by us. Thanks to this, we can offer very competitive and attractive prices to our customers that are difficult to match. If you wish, you can write to us via the chat on the website, call us at 968 97 83 01 or write to us at [email protected] to check if we have stock or the delivery time of the component you wish to purchase before finalising your order.
