SmallBMS NG Victron - BMS400100300:

The Victron NG SmallBMS - BMS400100300 is an all-in-one battery management system (BMS) designed exclusively for batteries. Lithium NG from Victron Energy. Not compatible with other brands or types of batteries.

These batteries can be connected in series, in parallelor in a series/parallel combination. Thanks to this flexibility, it is possible to form battery banks that work with system voltages of 12V, 24V or 48V.

In a 12V or 24V system, up to 50 batteries. This allows for a maximum energy storage of 192 kWh at 12V and 384 kWh at 24V. For 48V systems, on the other hand, the limit is 25 batterieswhich provides up to 128 kWh capacity.

The SmallBMS NG offers a simple and cost-effective alternative to the model VE.Bus BMS NG. Provides basic protection for lithium batteries without the need for VE.Bus communication. However, it is not compatible with VE.Bus inverters or chargers, such as the models MultiPlus y Quattro.

Integrated Bluetooth

The SmallBMS NG includes Bluetooth Smart connectivity, allowing it to be configured, monitored and firmware updated wirelessly via the VictronConnect app.

Load disconnect output

This output allows you to control the remote on/off function of devices such as:
- BatteryProtect
- Investors
- DC-DC converters
- Loads with on/off function

This prevents deep discharge of the battery. It can also be used to activate a high current relay or a contactoralthough in some cases it is necessary to inverter/non-inverter cable. For further details, it is recommended to consult the product manual.

Charger output

This output controls the remote on/off switching of:
- Chargers such as the Smart IP43
- Relays Cyrix-Li-Charge
- Battery Combiners Cyrix-Li-ct
- Devices BatteryProtect

It is not recommended to use this output to supply inductive loads such as relay coils. Its function is only to enable or disable the remote power port.

Instant Readout

It provides key data such as:
- State of charge (SoC)
- Battery temperature
- Active alerts or alarms

This information is displayed directly in the device list, without the need for additional connection.

Pre-alarm output

The pre-alarm output activates a visual or audible warning when the battery voltage level is low. This occurs at least 30 seconds before the load output is switched off due to undervoltage.
Can be used to operate a relay, an LED, or an audible alarm. The maximum current of this output is 1 A (no short-circuit protection).

Remote on/off input

Allows both outputs of the system to be controlled remotely. When this input is switched off, both outputs are inactive. This interrupts the operation of the connected chargers and loads.

Configurable discharge threshold

Protects the battery by setting a minimum charge level (SoC), preventing deep discharge and ensuring sufficient power to maintain essential functions. When the charge level approaches the limit, VictronConnect displays a warning and triggers a pre-alarm. If the critical threshold is reached, the system issues an alarm and automatically disconnects connected loads, preserving battery health and extending battery life.

LED indicators

The Victron smallBMS NG - BMS400100300 features two LED indicators that provide clear and quick information about the system status. A blue LED signals Bluetooth connection activity and status, while a red LED warns of errors or alarm situations, facilitating efficient, real-time monitoring.
