Fuses

Fuses protect solar and electrical installations in the event of an overcurrent or short circuit, interrupting the circuit before excessive heat can damage the wiring, battery or inverter. In a photovoltaic installation, a correctly dimensioned fuse is the last line of defence against a failure that could lead to a fire.

At FVComponentes.com we have all types of fuses for 12V, 24V and 48V solar installations, classified by format and application:

ANL fuses: for protection of high current lines between battery and inverter. Ratings from 80A to 500A. Installed in ANL fuse holders directly on the battery cable. Essential in installations with Victron MultiPlus and Quattro inverters.
MEGA fuses: for protection of high current distribution systems. More compact format than the ANL, widely used in 48V installations and in Pylontech and Pytes modular battery panels.
Midi fuses: for protection of medium current lines (up to 125A). Typical in secondary distribution branches and MPPT regulator protection.
Cylindrical fuses: for protection of low current circuits, auxiliary equipment and signal lines. Available in ratings from 1A to 30A.

All fuses in our catalogue are approved for direct current (DC) use in photovoltaic systems. Are you unsure about the correct fuse size? Our technical equipment calculates it according to the cable cross-section and the maximum current of the circuit.
