DC circuit breakers
Circuit breakers - also known as automatic switches or circuit breakers - protect electrical circuits against overcurrents and short circuits, automatically disconnecting the line when the current exceeds the nominal rating. In photovoltaic installations, they are essential in both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) circuits.

500 VDC circuit breakers (Maxge Alpha+): specifically designed for direct current in photovoltaic installations. Direct current is more difficult to interrupt than alternating current — a conventional AC circuit breaker cannot be used in DC circuits without the risk of an electric arc.
