Monocrystalline panels

The monocrystalline silicon cells of the Victron BlueSolar 150W-12V monocrystalline solar panel series 4a - SPM041501200 are manufactured from Ingots (cylindrical silicon blocks). All four sides of the cylinder are cut, which wastes a lot of silicon and makes sheets with rounded edges. As a result, the crystals have a high purity, which increases the yield of each cell. The plates of this material are usually darker, mostly black in colour.

Monocrystalline solar panels, being more efficient, they are able to produce considerably more energy in less space.
