The Victron EM540 3 phase energy meter - max 65A/phase - REL200100100 is a standard device for measuring the power and energy of an application. three-phasefor example in the distribution box or to measure the output of a PV inverter, an AC generator or an inverter or inverter/charger.

Choose between RS485 or Ethernet connection:

The Ethernet mode will be more advantageous in installations where an Ethernet network is available. Instead of running an RS485 cable between the main AC distribution panel and the storage system, the existing Ethernet can be used. The disadvantage is that this is dependent on the network functioning correctly; in case of problems, the storage system will go into standby mode: passthrough.
EM24, EM3XX, EM5XX and ABB meters use vector registration for energy metering. This is the preferred method in countries such as Germany and Austria, and almost everywhere else.
