ESS functionality (energy storage system)
The Inverter Charger 24V Victron Quattro II 24/5000 120-50/50 - QUA242505010 can be connected to two independent AC sources, for example the utility grid and a generator, or two generators. The Quattro-II will automatically connect to the active source.
PowerControl and PowerAssist
A maximum grid or generator current can be set. The Victron Quattro II 24/5000 120-50/50 - QUA242505010 24V inverter charger will take other AC loads into account and use what is left over to charge the battery, thus preventing the generator or the grid from being overloaded (PowerControl function). In cases where maximum power is only needed for a limited period, the Quattro-II will compensate for insufficient generator or grid power with power from the battery. When the load is reduced, the excess power is used to recharge the battery.
Solar power: AC power available even in case of grid failure
The Inverter Charger 24V Victron Quattro II 24/5000 120-50/50 - QUA242505010 can be used in grid-connected photovoltaic systems as well as in off-grid and other alternative energy systems. It is compatible with both solar charger controllers and grid-tie inverters.
Two AC outputs
The main output has no interrupting function. The Quattro-II takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a mains failure or disconnection of the generator/earthing. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that the electronic equipment will continue to operate without interruption. The second output is only active when AC power is available at the input.

Up to 6 Quattros II can be operated in parallel to achieve higher power output. Six 48/5000/70 units, for example, will provide 25 kW / 30 kVA of output power with 420A of load capacity. In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output, and up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel per phase to provide a 75 kW / 90 kVA inverter and over 1200A of load capacity.
On-site system configuration, monitoring and control
Settings can be changed in a matter of minutes with the VEConfigure software (PC or laptop and Mk3-USB interface required). Various monitoring and control options are available: Victron Cerbo GX MK2 Monitoring - BPP900451100 , Colour Control GX, Venus GXOcto GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, laptop, computer, Bluetooth, Battery Monitor, Digital Multi Control Panel.
Remote configuration and monitoring
Install a Cerbo GX or another GX product to connect to the Internet. Operating data can be stored and viewed on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
