How to choose the right panel
Start by working out the total power you need, which is based on your annual consumption: in Spain, each kilowatt-peak generates between 1,400 and 1,700 kWh a year, depending on the province and the orientation of the property. A home with an annual consumption of 4,000 kWh can be powered by around 3 kWp.
Next, check the module’s open-circuit voltage and work out how many can be connected in series without exceeding the window of the inverter, using the lowest temperature in your area, as the cold causes it to rise.

What is required to complete the installation
Structure suitable for the type of roof, UV-resistant solar cable, connectors, surge protection and, if you’re going to store it, a stack of batteries with a hybrid inverter.
