Victron Cyrix-Li-load battery combiner 24/48V-230A

Prevents undervoltage, overvoltage and overtemperature of Victron LiFePo4 battery cells.

The first line of protection is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries integrate cell balancing.
The second line of protection consists of:
- disconnecting loads in the event of imminent undervoltage in the switchgear, and
- disconnect or reduce the load current in case of imminent overvoltage, high temperature (>50°C) or low temperature (<0°C) in the switchgear.
The VE.Bus BMS is the heart of the second line of protection.
However, not all loads or chargers can be controlled directly with the VE.Bus BMS.
Several Cyrix switches are available for switching off such loads or chargers, which are controlled by the VE.Bus BMS.

The Cyrix-Li-load will switch off when its control input becomes floating.
If the battery voltage recovers after disconnection (which will occur when there are no other loads connected to the battery), the BMS output will go high and the Cyrix will reactivate after 30 seconds. The Cyrix, after attempting to reactivate 3 times, will remain deactivated until the voltage rises above 13V (26V or 52V, resp.) for at least 30 seconds (which is a sign that the battery is recharging).
Alternatively, a Protect battery can be used (advantage: very low power consumption).
