Details of the ZYC SIMPO 5000 Battery · 5.12 kWh, 51.2 V, stackable LiFePO4

The ZYC SIMPO 5000 is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) battery with a capacity of 5.12 kWh usable and 51.2 V in a 19″ rack format, designed for residential and commercial self-consumption installations, whether grid-connected or off-grid. It is installed in a pre-wired 6- or 10-unit cabinet, in a standard rack 600 mm deep, or stacked using the floor stand.

Why choose the SIMPO 5000?

  • Charge down to -10 °C and discharge down to -20 °C. Low-temperature chemistry: it continues to charge in winter when other LFP batteries stop working at 0 °C. This is why it is a sensible choice for shelters, unheated industrial buildings and pump houses.
  • 5.12 kWh actually usable, with a discharge depth of 100 %.
  • 100 continuous amps during charging and discharging, with a peak of 200 A for 5 seconds.
  • Integrated 1-pole, 125 A, 80 V DC switch In each module: it acts as an ON/OFF switch and provides protection against overcurrent, short circuits, overvoltage and over-discharge. This means you don’t need an external circuit breaker for the battery.
  • Over 8,000 cycles and a 10-year warranty.
  • Scalable up to 80 modules in parallel on an inverter without external control units (64, combining several cabinets).
  • Hot-swappable: A module is replaced or upgraded without shutting down the system.
  • Automatic configuration and CAN 2.0A / RS485 communication, or self-managed mode for inverters without communication.

Compatibility with inverters

Compatibility verified with Victron Energy (MultiPlus, MultiPlus-II and GX, Quattro, EasySolar and EasySolar-II), Studer, SMA Sunny Island, Deye SUN series, Goodwe, Solis, Selectronic, Steca Xtender y Noark.

The minimum number of modules depends on the inverter’s power rating and whether it is connected to the grid or operating off-grid. Please check our guide before purchasing: How many ZYC SIMPO 5000 batteries do I need for my inverter?. For Victron, we also have the Set-up guide with and without communication.

SIMPO 5000 or SIMPO 5000i?

Both share the same format, capacity and built-in switch. The SIMPO 5000 charges from -10 °C, supports a charging current of 100 A and its warranty is defined as 80 % of capacity. The SIMPO 5000i Rated from 0 °C, it handles 70 A and is guaranteed to 60 %. If your installation is cold or places high demands on the current, this is the one for you.
