Victron 12V/14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery - BAT212120086

Victron 12V/14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery - BAT212120086: New 12V/14Ah Absorbent Glass Mat batteries equipped with Victron Energy's VRLA technology. Hermetically sealed, low self-discharge batteries that can be stored for long periods of time without compromising performance.

The AGM range has a very low internal resistance, which makes it particularly suitable for high-current discharge applications such as inverters or thrusters, as well as for starting motors in vehicles such as caravans and golf carts or household appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines.

VRLA technology

In these batteries, the electrolyte is absorbed into a glass fibre mat between the plates by capillary action. AGM batteries are more suitable for short-term delivery of very high currents (engine starting) than gel batteries.

Victron 12V/14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery - BAT212120086: Low self-discharge

Due to the use of lead-calcium grids and high purity materials, Victron VRLA batteries can be stored for long periods of time without recharging. The self-discharge rate is less than 2% per month at 20°C. The self-discharge rate doubles for every 10°C temperature increase. Therefore, Victron AGM batteries can be stored for up to one year without recharging, if kept in the right humidity and temperature conditions.

Exceptional deep discharge recovery capability

Victron batteries have exceptional discharge recovery, even after deep or prolonged discharge. Victron Energy AGM batteries have excellent recovery capability. Typically, deep or prolonged discharges shorten the life of lead/acid batteries. Victron Energy AGM batteries do not suffer from this phenomenon.

The nominal capacity of Victron AGM and Gel Deep Cycle batteries is 20 hours of discharge at 25º, i.e. a discharge current of 0.05 C. It should be noted that the effective capacity of these batteries decreases with increasing discharge current. The reduction in charge capacity will be even faster in case of a constant energy load, such as an inverter.

Characteristics of the Victron 12V/14Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery - BAT212120086

  • Rated capacity: 20 hours. Discharge at 25 °C
  • Shelf life (floating): 7 to 10 years at 20 °C
  • Cycles: 400 to 80 % discharge, 600 to 50 % discharge, 1500 to 30 % discharge.
  • Recommended for use as a starter battery or other high current discharge applications due to its low internal resistance.
  • Thanks to the internal architecture and the materials used in the Victron 12V/8Ah AGM batteries, a particularly low self-discharge is guaranteed.
