The Victron MultiPlus Inverter Charger Compact 24/1600/40-16 - CMP241620000 brings together a powerful sine wave inverter, a sophisticated battery charger with adaptive technology and a high-speed AC transfer switch in a single compact housing.

Two AC outputs

The main output has a "no-break" function. The MultiPlus takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a blackout or mains/generator disconnection. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.
The second output is only active when one of the MultiPlus inputs has AC power. Devices that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater for example, can be connected to this output (second output available on models with a rated capacity of 3kVA or more).

Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation

Up to 6 Multis can be operated in parallel to achieve higher power output and load.

In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of three units can be connected in parallel.

PowerControl - Limited power from generator, pontoon or network

The Multi is a very powerful battery charger. Therefore, it will use a lot of current from the generator or pontoon mains (almost 10 A per 5kVA Multi at 230 VAC). A maximum current from the generator or pontoon can be set on the Multi Control Panel. The MultiPlus will take the other AC loads into account and use the excess current for the load, thus avoiding overloading the generator or the pontoon grid.

PowerAssist - Increased dock or generator electrical capacity

This function takes the PowerControl principle to another dimension. It allows the MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. When a power peak is required for a short period of time, as is often the case, MultiPlus will immediately compensate for the possible lack of power from the pontoon current or generator with power from the battery.

The main output provides a powerful charge to the battery system by means of advanced "variable charging" software. The software fine-tunes the automatic three-stage process to match battery conditions and adds a fourth stage for extended periods of slow charging.

In addition to the above, the MultiPlus can charge a second battery.

The Multiplus is compatible with lithium batteries.

Several options are available: Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Color Control GX and other devices, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote monitoring and control

Colour Control GX and other devices.

The data can be stored and displayed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.

Remote configuration

Data can be accessed and system settings can be changed with a Color Control GX and other devices if connected to Ethernet.
