Accessories for charge controllers complete the installation of the controller: temperature sensors, junction boxes, interface cables and control panels.

What is a WireBox used for?

It is the junction box that covers the regulator’s terminals Victron. It serves two purposes: it protects the wiring from accidental contact and organises the cable entry, which in an MPPT consists of four conductors of considerable cross-sectional area.

Each regulator model has its own specific WireBox: the S for the 75/10 and 75/15 models, and the M for those 130 mm high. They are not interchangeable.

Do I need a temperature sensor on the regulator?

If the regulator and the battery are in places with different temperatures, then yes. The correct charging voltage depends on the temperature from the battery, not the thermostat, and in summer a difference of 15 °C between the two causes the system to be overloaded every day.
