Victron Smart BMS 12/200 - BMS210055000 is a battery management system (BMS) for Victron Smart 12.8V lithium batteries, available in different capacities. Victron Smart batteries are the safest lithium batteries within the most common models. The maximum number of batteries in a system is 20, which means a maximum storage of 84 kWh in a 12V system. The Victron Smart BMS 12/200 - BMS210055000 is specifically designed for 12V systems with 12V alternator, such as caravans or boats.

The Smart BMS Victron 12/200 - BMS210055000 combines a current limiter, a battery combiner and a battery protector in a robust and compact solution that allows you to safely connect any size 12V alternator (and starter battery), via its dedicated connection. It protects the alternator (and wiring), provides alternator current limiting and one-way traffic from alternator to battery, so that the alternator can be safely connected to the lithium battery and the starter battery is protected from excessive discharge. The Smart BMS 12-200 uses MOSFET switches, ignition proof.

• Alternator with Alternator/Starter Batt+ port and battery protection: The input current of the Alternator/Starter Batt+ port is electronically limited to approximately 90 % of the fuse rating. A 100A fuse, for example, will limit the input current to approximately 90A protecting the lithium battery from excessive charging current and the alternator from overcharging (most 1V alternators will overheat and fail if operated at full output for more than 5 minutes).
• System+ power port for connecting additional loads and chargers: It can be used to charge or discharge the lithium battery (e.g. via an additional charger, inverter or inverter/charger directly connected to this port) with a maximum continuous current of 200A in both directions. It can also be used as a charging output, so that DC loads can be connected directly to this port.
• Remote on/off terminal: It can be used to interrupt the charging process via the Alternator port and charge and discharge via the System+ port while keeping the BMS function active or as an on/off switch to shut down the system completely.
• Load and charger disconnection output: The Victron Smart BMS 12/200 - BMS210055000 monitors and protects each of the battery cells and will disconnect the alternator, charging sources or DC loads in the event of low or high battery voltage or overtemperature.
• Pre-alarm output: It can be used to trigger a relay, LED or acoustic signal to give a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries from the system.
• Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration via our VictronConnect application.
