Battery combiners

The Cyrix Victron battery combiner is the intelligent reference relay for dual battery bank management in camper vans, vans, motorhomes and boats. It solves the most common problem of any live-aboard vehicle: how to charge the service battery from the engine alternator without risking the starter battery, and without losing voltage in the process as with conventional separator diodes.

Operation is simple: when the alternator or external charger raises the voltage above 13.2V (12V systems), the Cyrix automatically connects both banks to charge simultaneously. When the charging source stops and the voltage drops, the banks are disconnected so that the service battery does not discharge the starter battery.
