Midi Fuses

Midi fuses are half-format fuses for the protection of secondary strings in 12V, 24V and 48V photovoltaic installations. Their more compact size than the MEGA format makes them ideal for applications where space in the panel is limited and the operating currents are intermediate: protection of the line between the MPPT regulator and the battery, secondary outputs of the DC panel, auxiliary charging circuits or branches to consumer panels.

Two voltages are available depending on the system: 32V for 12V and 24V installations, and 58V for 48V systems - the 58V voltage is essential in 48V circuits, where the DC voltage can exceed 56V during absorption.

For the protection of a SmartSolar MPPT 150/100 controller (100A load current), the 100A to 58V MIDI fuse is the usual standard. For lower current regulators - 75/15, 100/30 - 30A to 60A ratings are suitable.
