Meters

Energy meters - also called smart meters or energy meters - measure the flow of current between the solar installation and the grid. They are the component that allows the inverter or the Cerbo GX to know at any given moment how much energy the house is consuming, how much the panels are producing and whether there are surpluses being exported to the grid. Without an energy meter, the ESS control from Victron or the Fronius surplus manager cannot function properly.

Victron ET112 (single-phase) and ET340 (three-phase): the native energy meters of the Victron ecosystem. They connect to the Cerbo GX via RS485 and enable full ESS control with self-consumption optimisation. The ET340 measures all three phases independently.
Victron EM540 and EM24: High-precision meters for installations requiring detailed consumption monitoring by phase. Ethernet (EM24) or RS485 (EM540) communication.
Fronius Smart Meter TS 100A: Official meter for Fronius inverter installations. Integrates directly with Fronius Primo GEN24 and Symo GEN24 for surplus management and Ohmpilot activation.
Huawei Smart Power Sensor: for installations with Huawei SUN2000 inverter. Single-phase (DDSU666-H) and three-phase (DTSU666-H).
