Circuit breakers

Circuit breakers - also known as automatic switches or circuit breakers - protect electrical circuits against overcurrents and short circuits, automatically disconnecting the line when the current exceeds the nominal rating. In photovoltaic installations, they are essential in both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) circuits.

At FVComponentes.com we have circuit breakers for all the circuits of a solar installation, in alternating current and direct current:

AC circuit breakers (Maxge y Chint): for protection of inverter output circuits, domestic distribution boards and consumer lines. Two-pole (2P) in sizes from 10A to 40A, curve C, 6kA breaking capacity. They comply with ITC BT-22 and ITC BT-23.
DC 500VDC circuit breakers (Maxge Alpha+): designed specifically for direct current in photovoltaic installations. Direct current is more difficult to interrupt than alternating current - a conventional AC circuit breaker cannot be used on DC circuits without the risk of arcing. Available in 16A, 20A, 25A and 40A at 500VDC. For protection of panel strings, battery lines and MPPT regulators on DC circuits.
DC 80VDC circuit breakers (Projoy): for protection of low voltage DC lines in 12V, 24V and 48V systems. Up to 125A.
