Toscano has developed a new system to ensure that photovoltaic installations continue to operate in the event of a general power failure, the Backup Switch Toscano Combi-Max 2x50A - 10005140which improves on the previous model, the Combi-Pro. This new device maintains the main features of the previous model, incorporating an automation function, which ensures that your solar panel installation continues to operate even in the event of a power failure. With Combi-Max, your solar installation becomes more profitable, efficient and autonomous.

• The Toscano Combi-Max 2x50A backup switch monitors the presence of mains voltage at all times. If it detects that the mains voltage disappears, it allows the inverter to work in "ISLAND MODE" disconnected from the mains.
• Once the mains supply has been disconnected from the grid, it sends the order to run in "island mode" to the inverter so that it can continue generating from the energy obtained from the panels and/or the batteries it may have installed.
• At this point, the selected parts of the installation will once again be supplied by the inverter, and the grid will remain physically disconnected. When the presence of the grid is detected again, it removes the "island mode" run command and reconnects the installation to the grid.
• It has a front pilot light that indicates "normal" operation by means of a flash per second. In the event of a mains power failure, the pilot light will go out after the actions described above have been carried out.
