The Victron Lynx Distributor is a modular direct current (DC) busbar designed to provide safe, organised and efficient power distribution in high performance electrical systems.
It is part of Victron Energy's Lynx modular system, which enables professional energy management in off-grid installations, solar systems, boats, caravans, recreational vehicles and industrial applications.

Features of the Lynx Distributor

Modular distribution

The Lynx Distributor integrates both the positive (+) and negative (-) bus into a single compact unit.

It is designed to accommodate up to four individual DC fuses, with connections that allow power to be distributed in an orderly fashion to different loads or system components.
It also provides individual protection for each of the connected outputs.

This feature makes it an ideal solution for centralising power distribution and protecting critical circuits within 12V, 24V or 48V battery systems.

Integrated monitoring and diagnostics

This Lynx features fuse status monitoring, as it incorporates front LED indicators that visually show whether a fuse is good or has failed.

This monitoring significantly improves the safety and maintenance of the system, allowing rapid detection of faults without the need for disassembly or manual measurements.

When the device is connected to a Lynx Smart BMS, it can transmit fuse status information for display on Victron monitoring systems, such as VictronConnect, GX devices or the VRM portal.

Construction and design

The Lynx distributor is manufactured with a heavy-duty ABS housing, designed to withstand demanding environments.

Inside, the busbars are made of tinned copper, a material that guarantees excellent electrical conductivity and high corrosion resistance.

Its approximate dimensions are 290 × 170 × 80 mm, with a weight of about 2.2 kg, giving it a robust and solid structure, suitable for professional installations.

In addition, it has an IP22 protection rating, which makes it resistant to light dust and splash water. It is therefore suitable for indoor installations.

The Lynx distribution system

This distribution system consists of the following elements:

• Lynx Power In - One positive and one negative busbar with four connections for batteries or DC equipment.
• Lynx Distributor - One positive and one negative busbar with four fused connections for batteries or DC equipment together with fuse monitoring.
• Shunt Lynx VE.Can - A positive busbar with space for a main system fuse and a negative busbar with a shunt for battery monitoring. VE.Can communication for monitoring and configuration with a GX device.
• Lynx Smart BMS - For use in conjunction with Victron Energy Smart lithium batteries.
  It contains a positive busbar with a contactor driven by a battery management system (BMS) and a negative busbar with a shunt for battery monitoring. It has Bluetooth communication for monitoring and configuration via the application. VictronConnect and VE.Can communication for monitoring with a GX device and the VRM Portal.
