Although by design all rack cabinets have natural ventilation, there are roof or front ventilation units available on the market to assist in cooling the interior of a 19 inch rack cabinet. It is also advisable that there is a gap of 10-15 cm from the end of the Pylontech battery to the side or rear wall of the rack cabinet to facilitate natural ventilation inside.

Generally Pylontech battery racks have a glass front door and the rest are blind, but some models offer the option of having a single or double grille front or rear door, depending on the model of rack cabinet.
