The Victron Energy Meter EM24 RS485 measures the power and energy flows of the entire installation from the distribution box. The output of a PV inverter can also be measured. The data will be displayed in the Color Control GX and the VRM Portal.

The Victron EM24 energy meter with LCD display is designed exclusively for monitoring a three-phase installation, but can also be used in a single-phase installation (max. 65 A/phase).

Features Victron EM24 Energy Meter - 3 phase - 65A - Ethernet

The EM24 RS485 can be configured with four different functions on a GX device, such as the Cerbo GX:

  1. As a network counter and control input to an ESS system.
  2. To measure the output of a PV inverter.
  3. To measure the output of an AC generator.
  4. As an AC meter to measure the output of an inverter or inverter/charger.

Offers two options for connection to a GX device:

  1. A wired connection, using the RS485 to USB interface with a 1.8 m or 5 m cable length.
  2. A wireless connection via Zigbee

Ethernet connection:

The Ethernet mode is most advantageous in installations where an Ethernet network is available. Instead of running an RS485 cable between the main AC distribution panel and the storage system, the existing Ethernet can be used. The disadvantage is that this is dependent on the network functioning correctly; in case of problems, the storage system will go into standby mode.
EM24, EM3XX, EM5XX and ABB meters use vector recording to account for energy. This is the preferred method in countries such as Germany and Austria, and almost everywhere else. All other meters use the arithmetic register.
