The Mastervolt ChargeMaster Plus 24/80-2 battery charger is the next generation of battery chargers, integrating several functions in one device. Replacing auxiliary chargers, the ChargeMaster Plus reduces system complexity and costs. Designed for versatility, it charges virtually any combination of two or three batteries quickly and safely, and works anywhere in the world.

Battery's Best Friend

Thanks to the new Battery's Best Friend architecture, the ChargeMaster Plus is capable of charging batteries of different chemistries, sizes and voltages. All batteries are charged with the fast and safe 3-stage+ charging method. Other unique features include:

• Recovery mode: allows to automatically recover even completely discharged batteries.
• Multi-voltage: allows charging of 12 V starter batteries in a 24 V system, without additional components (only for 24 V models).
• Priority charging: allows redirecting the available power to the lowest battery for a faster charging process.
• Intelligent input: allows charging all three batteries from a single alternator for an uninterrupted charging process at any location.

Resistant to large voltage fluctuations and high temperatures, it offers uninterrupted operation in demanding environments. An integrated VSR (voltage sensing relay) eliminates the need for additional components and ensures that power from the alternator is channeled through the batteries.

Powerful communications through CZone integration

In modern applications, all electrical components work together. The MasterBus based on the CAN protocol allows the ChargeMaster Plus to communicate with various displays, shunts and power supply systems, including communication standards such as CZone®, NMEA 2000 and CANopen (via additional interfaces).

Models with the CZone plug-in not only support MasterBus, but also CZone and NMEA 2000 communication systems, without the need for additional interfaces. The ChargeMasters Plus series can be configured with MasterBus, but also supports a CZone configuration file like any other CZone device. Other communication standards such as ModBus, CANopen, LinBus, etc. are supported via additional interfaces.

This wide range of communication interfaces makes ChargeMaster Plus ideal for system integration. In addition, ChargeMaster Plus can function as a power supply for sensitive communication equipment, or during the construction phase of a ship.
