Features of the Lynx Power In Victron - LYN020102000

The Lynx Power In Victron - LYN020102000 is a modular DC busbar, which is used to connect batteries to the Lynx DC distribution system. The Lynx power in module is used to connect batteries via an external fuse. It can be useful if you have several parallel strings. Due to the extremely high short circuit current potential of most battery banks, it is suggested to use an external fuse system with a suitable fault current interrupting rating (such as a NH HRC). The Power In contains a negative and positive DC busbar with M8 bolts to which to connect the battery cables. It can take cables up to 22 mm in diameter through the bottom entry guides, and unlimited through the two side connections.

This is a modular busbar system incorporating DC connections, distribution, fusing, battery monitoring and/or lithium battery management.

The Lynx distribution system

This distribution system consists of the following elements:

Lynx Power In - One positive and one negative busbar with four connections for batteries or DC equipment.
Lynx Distributor - One positive and one negative busbar with four fused connections for batteries or DC equipment together with fuse monitoring.
Shunt Lynx VE.Can - A positive busbar with space for a main system fuse and a negative busbar with a shunt for battery monitoring. VE.Can communication for monitoring and configuration with a GX device.
Lynx Smart BMS - For use in conjunction with Victron Energy Smart lithium batteries. Contains a positive busbar with a contactor driven by a battery management system (BMS) and a negative busbar with a shunt for battery monitoring. It has Bluetooth communication for monitoring and configuration via the application. VictronConnect and VE.Can communication for monitoring with a GX device and the VRM Portal.

Lynx module interconnections

Lynx modules can be connected to other Lynx modules on the left side (M8 hole) and on the right side (M8 screw).

If the Lynx module is the first or last in the row or is used alone, batteries, loads or chargers can be connected directly to these connections. However, we generally do not recommend this because additional insulation and fuses are required.
