3-Stage Loading Algorithm

• Para las baterías de plomo-ácido, el tiempo de absorción se ajusta en función de la profundidad de descarga: las descargas ligeras requieren menor tiempo y las descargas profundas necesitan más tiempo para asegurar la carga completa.
• En baterías de litio, el tiempo de absorción es fijo y debe ajustarse a 2 horas.

Installation of the Victron Orion-Tr Smart 12/48 8A Isolated Booster

La instalación de este booster victron requiere una especial atención a las conexiones y al entorno para garantizar un rendimiento óptimo y una operación segura. Estos son los pasos y aspectos clave para realizar una correcta instalación:

1. Lugar de Instalación

• The device must be installed on a solid and stable surface.
• Debe haber suficiente ventilación para evitar que se acumule calor, deja espacio alrededor del equipo al instalarlo.
• Si quieres mantener la protección IP43 contra polvo y salpicaduras, el convertidor debe instalarse con los bornes de tornillo orientados hacia abajo.

Prerequisites

• Se necesita un destornillador estándar para los bornes de tornillo.
• Hay que utilizar cables de sección suficiente para manejar la corriente de entrada y salida del dispositivo. Consulta el manual para determinar el tamaño adecuado según la distancia entre el convertidor y las baterías o la carga.
• Se recomienda incluir un fusible o disyuntor en las conexiones para proteger el booster y las baterias.

3. Input and Output Connection

• Entrada: Conecta los cables de alimentación de entrada al convertidor, asegúrate que la tensión de entrada esté dentro del rango de 10-17 V CC. Comprueba la polaridad antes de conectar para evitar daños al equipo, ya que la garantía no cubre daños por polaridad invertida.
• Output: Connect the output cables to the 48 V battery system or to the corresponding load. Always observe the indicated polarity to ensure correct operation.

4. Connecting the On/Off Remote Control

• The device includes a two-phase connector to control switching on and off by using a remote switch.
• Optionally, the H (positive) or L (negative) terminal can be used to control the ignition by connecting them directly to the positive or negative of the battery, or to the vehicle chassis.

5. Initial configuration with VictronConnect

Hay que configurar el dispositivo acorde a las necesidades determinadas del sistema. Esto se realiza mediante la app VictronConnect, disponible para dispositivos con Bluetooth.

• Download the app from the app shop of your smartphone or tablet.
• Con el convertidor orion encendido, utiliza Bluetooth para emparejarlo con el dispositivo móvil.
• Configure the charging algorithm according to the type of battery used (lead-acid or lithium) and select the operating mode: battery charger or power supply.
• Monitoring: The application allows real-time monitoring of parameters such as voltage, current, state of charge and alarms.

6. Final Assembly

Once all connections have been made, check that the cables are securely fastened and free of mechanical stress. Finally, protect exposed connections with insulating terminals or rubber protectors.
