Monocrystalline panels

The monocrystalline silicon cells of the BlueSolar 90W-12V Solar Panel are made from Ingots (cylindrical silicon blocks). All four sides of the cylinder are cut, which wastes a lot of silicon and makes sheets with rounded edges. As a result, the crystals have a high purity, which increases the yield of each cell. The plates of this material are usually darker, mostly black in colour.

Monocrystalline solar panels, being more efficient, they are able to produce considerably more energy in less space. For this reason they are a choice to consider in the case of having a small surface area for the installation of the panels. By producing more energy per smaller surface area, greater savings can be achieved than with polycrystalline panels.
