Proven reliability

The full-bridge plus toroidal transformer topology has proven its reliability over many years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating, whether due to overload or high ambient temperature.

PowerControl - Limited power from generator, shore power or mains power

In the Multi Control Panel a maximum current from the generator or the dock can be set. The Victron Multiplus 48V 800VA 9-16A Inverter will take over other AC loads and use the excess current for charging, thus avoiding overloading the generator or the shore power.

PowerAssist - Increasing the electrical capacity of the shore power outlet or generator

When a power peak is required for a short period of time, as is often the case, the Victron Multiplus 48V 800VA 9-16A Inverter will immediately compensate for the possible lack of power from the grid current or generator with power from the battery. When the load is reduced, the excess power is used to recharge the battery.

Variable four-stage charger and charging of dual battery banks

The main output provides a powerful charge to the battery system via advanced "variable charge" software. The software fine-tunes the automatic three-stage process to match battery conditions and adds a fourth stage for extended periods of float.

In addition, the MultiPlus can charge a second battery using a separate limited charge output designed to charge a starter battery from the main engine or generator.

Search mode

When the search mode is activated, the consumption of the inverter in no-load operation decreases by approximately 70%. In this mode the Victron Multiplus Inverter 48V 800VA 9-16A, when operating in inverter mode, switches off if there is no load or very little load, and switches back on every two seconds for a short period of time.

If the output current exceeds a preset level, the inverter shall continue to operate. Otherwise, the inverter will shut down again.

Programmable relay

The programmable relay is by default configured as alarm relay, i.e. the relay will be de-energised in case of alarm or pre-alarm (inverter is too hot, input ripple is almost too high and battery voltage is too low).
