Features of the Victron GX Tank 140 Monitoring - BPP920140100

The Victron GX Tank 140 - BPP920140100 monitor receives readings from up to four tank level sensors. It is an accessory for our range of GX system monitoring products, among which the monitoring Victron Cerbo GX - BPP900450100 is the most commonly used model. Tank levels can be read both locally on the system and remotely via our VRM Portal.

The Victron GX Tank 140 - BPP920140100 monitor is compatible with current (4 to 20 mA) and voltage (0 to 10 V) transmitters. The connection to the GX device is made via USB, which is also used to power the GX Tank: no additional power cables are required.

Wiring the tank transmitter is as simple as possible: two of the four inputs provide 24 V, to power the transmitter. The other two wires require an external power supply and there is a power input terminal and fused outputs to facilitate this.

The upper and lower limits can be set to allow the use of transmitters that only provide part of the range, e.g. 0 to 5V.

To provide a stable reading, the readings are damped by averaging. The damping can be set between 1 and 60 seconds.

Faulty sensors and wiring problems are detected: an alarm will be triggered when values are out of range.

For marine applications, the GX device can transmit these tank levels on the NMEA 2000 network to be received by other devices such as multifunction displays.
