The Upower 12.8 V / 50 Ah battery is a high performance monoblock, designed to provide an energy storage solution that is efficient, durable and safe.

Thanks to its lithium iron phosphate technology (LiFePO₄), this battery has a long service life and is virtually maintenance-free.

It is widely used in caravans, tour buses, electric vehicles such as motorbikes and bicycles, emergency lighting, security systems and other equipment requiring reliable power.

Technology and performance

The Upower battery has a nominal voltage of 12.8 volts, a usable capacity of 50 amps, a discharge capacity of 100A and 640Wh of usable stored energy.

Its cycle life is over 2,500 cycles at 100 % discharge (DoD), which means it lasts up to 10 times longer than many lead-acid batteries.

In addition, its discharge curve is almost flat, so the voltage remains stable for almost the entire cycle, ensuring constant power even with demanding loads.

Design

The Upower battery is designed as a single block with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells, which give it high thermal and chemical stability, greatly reducing the risk of overheating or premature failure.

In addition, it is configured in four cells in series (4S) and four in parallel (4P), offering balanced and safe performance.

Intelligent management system (BMS)

The Upower 12.8V/50Ah has an integrated battery management system (BMS), which optimises the battery and automatically balances the charge of the cells, protecting it from overcharging and over-discharging.

This ensures greater durability and safer, more uniform cycles.

Operational range

The Upower battery can operate in a wide range of temperatures, both charging (0 °C to 45 °C) and discharging (-20 °C to 60 °C), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

For storage, it is recommended to keep it between -10 °C and 35 °C.

Protections

This battery has protections against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuits and extreme temperatures, extending its life.

In addition to an IP65 degree of protection, it includes several protections, such as high temperature thermal fuses, flame retardant additive and pressure relief valves, for added safety.

Installation and maintenance

Its monoblock format allows for easy installation.

In addition, this battery is maintenance-free because it does not require ventilation, electrolyte recharging or periodic servicing.
