Victron Energy Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/85 Tr controller

With the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/85-Tr charge controller you can enjoy a charging current of up to 70 Ampere and a PV voltage of up to 250 Volt. The Victron SmartSolar150/85-Tr MPPT charge controller can charge a battery with a lower nominal voltage from PV panels with a higher nominal voltage of at least +5V. The SmartSolar controller will automatically adjust the nominal voltage of the battery to 12, 24, 36, or 48V once connected to the controller.

Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially under cloudy skies, when light intensity changes continuously, an ultrafast MPPT controller will improve energy harvesting by up to 30 % compared to PWM charge controllers, and by up to 10 % compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial cloud cover
In case of partial cloud cover, two or more maximum power points (MPPs) may occur on the load voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs usually select a local MPP, which is not necessarily the optimal MPP. SmartSolar's innovative algorithm will always maximise energy harvesting by selecting the optimal MPP.

Flexible loading algorithm
One fully programmable charging algorithm and eight pre-programmed charging algorithms, which can be selected with a rotary selector (see manual for more information).

Integrated Bluetooth Smart

A Smart Battery Sense sensor, BMV-712 Smart battery monitor or SmartShunt can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV-712 or SmartShunt) to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

Fully discharged battery recovery function
Will start charging even if the battery is discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.

VE.Can: the multi-controller solution
Up to 25 units can be synchronised with VE.Can and up to 10 units with Bluetooth.

VE.Direct or VE.Can
For a wired data connection to a Color Control GX panel, other GX products, a PC or other devices.
