Features of the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr Controller - SCC12506060221

With the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr - SCC12506060221 you can enjoy a charging current of up to 60 amps and a PV voltage of up to 250 volts. The charge controller can charge a battery with a lower rated voltage from PV panels with a higher rated voltage of at least +5V. The SmartSolar controller will automatically adjust the nominal voltage of the battery to 12, 24, 36, or 48V once connected to the controller.

Integrated Bluetooth Smart

The wireless solution for configuring, monitoring, updating and synchronising SmartSolar charge controllers.

Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)

Especially under cloudy skies, when the light intensity changes continuously, an ultrafast MPPT controller will improve energy harvesting by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers, and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial cloud cover

In case of partial cloud cover, two or more maximum power points (MPPs) may occur on the load voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs usually select a local MPP, which is not necessarily the optimal MPP. SmartSolar's innovative algorithm will always maximise energy harvesting by selecting the optimal MPP.

Exceptional conversion efficiency

Fanless. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.

Flexible charging algorithm of the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr controller - SCC125060221

A fully programmable charging algorithm and eight pre-programmed charging algorithms, which can be selected with a rotary selector.

Extensive electronic protection

Over-temperature protection and power reduction in case of high temperature. Short-circuit and reverse polarity protection on PV panels. PV reverse current protection.

Internal temperature sensor for Victron SmartSolar MPPT 250/60-Tr controller - SCC125060221

Compensates the absorption and buoyancy charge voltage, depending on the temperature.

Optional external battery voltage and temperature sensor via Bluetooth

A sensor can be used Smart Battery Sense or a battery monitor BMV-712 Smart to communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

Fully discharged battery recovery function

Will start charging even if the battery is discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.

VE.Direct

For a wired data connection to a Color Control GX, other GX products, PC or other devices.

Remote On/Off

To connect to a VE.BUS BMS, for example.

Programmable relay

It can be programmed (e.g. with a smartphone) to trigger an alarm or other events.

Optional: connectable LCD display

Simply remove the rubber protector from the plug on the front of the controller and connect the display.
