Pytes' V5α PLUS is a high-tech lithium-ferrophosphate (LiFePO₄) battery module, offering very long life, high cycling resistance, industrial-grade safety, plug-and-play expansion and excellent performance.
With a nominal voltage of 51.2V, a capacity of 5.12kWh, high cycle stability (>6000 cycles at 90% DoD) and intelligent energy management, it enables maximum independence from the mains.
The battery is compatible with many inverters and can be extended up to 430 kWh.
The V5α PLUS battery is designed to provide reliable, efficient and safe energy storage in photovoltaic installations, grid backup systems, solar self-consumption or off-grid applications.
Its modular, rack-mountable design offers advanced BMS protection, fire suppression, remote monitoring and easy parallel scalability from a single unit to large capacity configurations without hassle.
Pytes V5α PLUS Battery Features
Design
The V5α PLUS battery is manufactured in a robust 19″ standard format housing, designed for rack, floor or wall mounting.
Its long-lasting design has more than 10 years of service life, which can be extended up to 20 years (depending on use and conditions).
In addition, its LiFePO₄ (LFP) chemistry offers greater thermal stability, safety against overheating and a longer lifetime compared to traditional lithium chemistries.
Intelligent battery management (BMS)
The V5α PLUS battery incorporates an integrated system that protects against short circuits, overcharging, overcurrent, unbalance and overtemperature, increasing reliability and extending battery life.
In addition, it features low-temperature warning protection and reverse power cable protection, as well as intelligent charging and cell balancing, and a calculation of the remaining battery power.
Triple Safe Protections
The V5α PLUS battery module includes an advanced BMS protection system, emergency shutdown switch and an aerosol fire suppression system for increased operational safety.
Duration and efficiency
This battery features a cycle life of ≥6000 cycles at 90 % depth of discharge (DOD), Ret at 70 %, 25 ℃, which translates into many years of daily operation with very little degradation.
Its cycle efficiency is superior to the 95%, which means that almost all of the incoming energy can be recovered when discharging.
In addition, it comes with a 10-year warranty with manufacturer's support.
Thermal performance and safety
The V5α PLUS battery has a typical operating temperature range between -10 °C and +50 °C for safe discharging and charging.
It also has an integrated heating system that allows the battery to operate efficiently even in cold climates, keeping the internal temperature in optimal operating ranges without the need for external accessories.
Intelligent monitoring and functions
The V5α PLUS battery module features remote control and data visualisation as it allows real-time monitoring of charge status, alarms, performance history and updating of the BMS software via WEB/APP.
In addition, it has an alarm and fault notification system that helps keep the battery safe and efficient.
