At FVComponentes we have designed this power backup kit with Victron Energy equipment and Pytes batteries, mounted on an open rack cabinet. It is an all-in-one solution designed to protect your home or business against blackouts and power cuts. With the inverter on top and the batteries in the bottom of the rack, you have a compact, transportable and ready-to-connect system.

All you need to do is connect the input to the grid or generator and the output to your consumption. In a matter of minutes, you have a professional and reliable energy backup without the need for building work or complex installations.

This kit is ideal as an ESS (Energy Storage System) or backup system for grid-connected installations that already have solar panels. It allows you to store energy, increase energy independence and guarantee supply in the event of power cuts. It is also perfect for off-grid installations in rural homes, country houses, shelters or farms.

What is included in the power backup kit with rack?

The kit includes a 48V 5000VA inverter-charger, the Cerbo GX monitoring system, a Pytes V5 5kWh battery, the open frame rack cabinet and the necessary cabling to connect everything. All pre-assembled in a rack that you can easily transport with a pallet truck.

The Victron MultiPlus II 48/5000 - PMP482505010, is an inverter-charger that combines a pure sine wave inverter with a 70 A battery charger. Thanks to PowerAssist technology, the MultiPlus II can supplement the power from an external source, such as a generator, with battery power.

This ensures a stable supply even in the event of peak demand. It operates at 48 V and has 5000 VA (up to 4000 W continuous power, depending on conditions). When a power failure occurs, the MultiPlus switches over in less than 20 milliseconds, keeping your devices running without interruption.

This kit incorporates from 2 up to 6 units of the 51.2V LiFePO4 Pytes V5 5.12kWh lithium battery - 110402100135, specially designed for 48 V systems, ensuring high durability, efficiency and safety in any environment. It offers a solid balance between safety, durability, performance and ease of installation. Please select the 5.12kWh units you want your system to have before ordering.

The kit includes the Pylontech Rack Rack Cabinet, An open steel structure designed to house the inverter in the upper part and the batteries in the lower part. Easily movable thanks to its design to be transported by a pallet truck, with measurements suitable for entering through a residential doorway and height-adjustable anti-vibration rubber feet. It is the perfect solution to have the whole system integrated in a single chassis, ready to be transported and connected wherever it is needed.

To keep everything under control, the kit includes the Victron Cerbo GX - BPP900451100, which acts as the monitoring centre of the system. It gathers all the information of the connected equipment. Additionally, it allows you to view and manage the installation in real time, both locally and remotely, with the Victron VRM portal. It has VE.Bus, VE.Direct and VE.Can connections. This facilitates the integration of compatible Victron equipment and performance monitoring from any device.

In order to communicate with each other, we include a Victron VE.Can to CAN-bus cable for BMS Type A 5m - ASS030710150 to link Pytes V5 lithium batteries with the Cerbo.

In addition, we added a Victron UTP RJ45 1,8m Victron UTP Cable - ASS030064950 to communicate the inverter with the Cerbo control unit.

Finally, we include a 2m long battery wiring kit with 35mm² red and black cable, with M6 screw terminals at the battery ends and M8 screw terminals at the inverter ends. The positive cable is supplied in two lengths (30 cm and 160 cm) to facilitate the installation of the MEGA fuse holder with its corresponding fuse. This fuse protects the DC line for a safer and more reliable installation.

Pytes V5 lithium battery: safe, robust and built to last

The kit includes a 5.12 kWh Pytes V5 lithium battery, a perfect choice for 48V installations. It uses LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate) technology, which fails far less and lasts longer than lead-acid batteries when used on a daily basis.

Pytes V5 batteries are built with prismatic cells, making them much more robust than other batteries on the market that use pouch cells. In addition, each battery incorporates a heating plate that activates when the ambient temperature drops below 10°C, helping to maintain good charging and discharging performance in cold conditions.

In terms of performance, Pytes V5 batteries have a nominal capacity of 5.12 kWh and can be connected in parallel to easily expand the total capacity of the system. Their integrated BMS protects against overcharging, deep discharge, overtemperature and short circuits, ensuring stable and reliable operation.

The Pytes communicate directly with the Victron system with the VE.Can to CAN-bus cable for BMS type A (5 m) included in the kit, allowing the Cerbo GX to display battery data. Thanks to this integration, you can monitor parameters such as state of charge, voltage, temperature and cycles from the VRM at any time.

With a lifetime of more than 6,000 cycles and a charging efficiency of up to 98 %, the Pytes V5 is a reliable, safe and durable storage solution for solar systems, especially in back-up power systems.

Rack Rack Cabinet: your back-up system in a single chassis

The rack enclosure included in this kit is an open steel structure designed to integrate the entire back-up system into a single transportable unit. Unlike conventional closed enclosures, the open rack allows optimal natural ventilation and quick access to all components for maintenance or expansion.

The frame is designed to mount the Victron inverter on top and the Pytes batteries on the bottom, creating a compact and tidy system. Its dimensions are calculated to fit through a standard residential doorway, and its anti-vibration and anti-slip rubber feet are adjustable in height to adapt to any surface.

Thanks to its open and transportable design, you can easily move the complete system with a pallet truck to the installation point. You only need to connect the input to the mains or generator and the output to the consumption to have your energy backup operational.

The rack supports the installation of additional batteries in the future, allowing you to scale the storage capacity to your needs without changing the structure.
