Features of the 12V Charger Victron Blue Smart IP67 12V 25A (1+Yes) 230VAC - BPC122514006

Bluetooth Smart enabled

The Victron Blue Smart IP67 12V Charger 12V 25A (1+Yes) 230VAC - BPC122514006 is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and updating the charger when new features become available. Thanks to Bluetooth, the functionality of the IP67 charger is enhanced and is similar to our chargers. IP22 e IP65.

Suffix (1+Yes)

This model has a second current-limited output which is constantly powered as long as 110 - 130 VAC is supplied to the input. This output can be used, for example, to prevent a vehicle from starting before the battery charger is unplugged (start interrupt function).

Fully encapsulated: waterproof, shockproof and fireproof

Water, oil and dirt cannot damage the Blue Smart IP67 charger. Its housing is made of cast aluminium and the electronic components are moulded in resin.

The highest efficiency ever!

This range of chargers have an efficiency of 92% or better but generate three to four times less heat. In addition, once the battery is fully charged, power consumption is reduced to less than one watt, five to ten times less than the industry standard.

5-stage variable loading algorithm: initial loading - absorption - reconditioning - flotation - storage

The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor-controlled "adaptive" battery management. Its "adaptive" function automatically optimises the charging process based on the usage of the battery.

Storage mode: Less ageing and need for maintenance when the battery is not in use

This mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2 V/cell (13.2 V for 12 V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is brought back up to absorption level to "equalise" the battery. This function prevents electrolyte stratification and sulphation, the main causes of battery failure.

Also charges Li-Ion batteries

Li-ion batteries are charged with a simple initial charge - absorption - float algorithm.

Victron Blue Smart IP67 12V Charger 12V 25A (1+Yes) 230VAC 12V fully discharged battery recovery function - BPC122514006

It will start charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts. It will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with the internal disconnect function.

Protection against overheating

It can be used in hot environments, such as an engine room. The output current will reduce as the temperature rises to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.

Two LED status indicators

Yellow LED: initial charge (fast flashing), absorption (slow flashing), floating (steady), storage (off)
Green LED: on.
