This module is part of the Battery-Box Premium HVE system, designed to cover energy needs with high density and modularity.

Features of the BYD Battery Box HVE 4.2
The BYD Battery Box HVE 4.2 offers a useful capacity of 4.29 kWh, with a nominal voltage of 76.8 V and a round-trip efficiency of over 95 %.
It operates with a maximum charge and discharge current of 25 A, with no fans or moving parts, thanks to its naturally cooled design, ensuring quiet operation and no active maintenance.
Design and scalability
The design of the BYD HVE 4.2 module is based on a fully modular approach, allowing vertical and horizontal scalability.
Up to five HVE 4.2 modules can be stacked in a single tower (Battery-Box HVE), with a total capacity of 21.45 kWh per tower.
In addition, the system allows up to three towers to be connected in parallel, giving a maximum total capacity of 64.35 kWh (using only HVE 4.2 modules), or up to 70.92 kWh in combination with HVE 6.4 modules.
Its ultra-compact design makes it easy to mount in confined spaces. It can be wall or floor mounted, and its IP65 housing allows it to be installed both indoors and protected outdoors.

The Battery-Box module uses lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) technology, which is considered one of the safest on the market due to its high thermal stability, overcharge resistance and long life cycle. As it does not contain cobalt, it is also more environmentally friendly and sustainable.
The BYD Battery-Box HVE system has rigorous international certifications such as IEC 62619, VDE-AR-E 2510-50, UN 38.3, and EMC standards, guaranteeing its safety in both transport and operation.
In addition, it includes IP65 protection against dust and splashes, and is designed without fans, eliminating mechanical risks and improving long-term reliability.

Installation and ease of use
The HVE 4.2 module is designed with an internal plug-and-play system, eliminating the need for wiring between modules.

The system automatically detects the connected modules and performs an automatic configuration on power-up.
In addition, compatibility with the BYD app enables remote monitoring, OTA (over-the-air) firmware updates and real-time diagnostics.
