How to choose the right accessory

  • Compatibility by series/modelBlue Smart IP22/IP65, Phoenix, Centaur, Skylla, etc. Check the exact reference of your charger.

  • System voltage: 12 / 24 / 48 V. For example, the Victron cigarette lighter adapter is only available for 12 V chargers.

  • Battery type: AGM, Gel, LFP (lithium), lead-acid. Not all accessories are suitable for all battery types.

  • Environment of useCaravan, camper, marine, residential or industrial. For installations in demanding environments a higher IP is better.

  • Length/Cable section and connectorsAvoid voltage drops and false contacts, use approved connectors.

Frequently asked questions about battery charger accessories

1. How do I know if an accessory is compatible with my Victron charger?

Look for the series and reference in the product data sheet and compare it with the accessory data sheet. If it is not clear, send us the exact model and we will confirm compatibility.

2. What accessories do you recommend for a camper or boat?

For camper: wall bracket, case and 12 V cigarette lighter socket. For marine: IP67 or sealed enclosures, anti-vibration mountings and corrosion protected connectors.

3. When should a temperature sensor be used?

In AGM/Gel and hot or cold climates: improves charging accuracy and reduces degradation. In LFP, see BMS and charger data sheet.

4. Control panel or Bluetooth app?

If the charger is hidden or far away, the panel is more convenient and stable. The app is perfect for monitoring, adjustments and quick diagnostics.
