Victron Energy Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/100 Tr controller

With the Victron SmartSolar 150/100-Tr MPPT controller you can enjoy charging current up to 100 amps and PV voltage up to 150 volts. The Victron SmartSolar 150/100-Tr MPPT charge controller can charge a lower rated voltage battery from a higher rated voltage PV panels of at least +5V. The SmartSolar controller will automatically adjust the battery voltage rating to 12, 24, 36, or 48V once connected to the controller.

Ultra Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
Especially under cloudy skies, when light intensity changes continuously, an ultrafast MPPT controller will improve energy harvesting by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers, and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced detection of Maximum Power Point in case of partial cloudiness
In case of partial cloudiness, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the load voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs typically select a local MPP, which is not necessarily the optimal MPP. SmartSolar's innovative algorithm will always maximize energy harvesting by selecting the optimal MPP.

Exceptional conversion efficiency
No fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.

Flexible loading algorithm
A fully programmable charging algorithm (see the software page of our website) and eight pre-programmed charging algorithms, which can be chosen with a rotary selector (see manual for more information).

Extensive electronic protection
Over-temperature protection and power reduction in case of high temperature. Short-circuit and reverse polarity protection in PV panels. PV reverse current protection.

Internal temperature sensor
Compensates the absorption and buoyancy charge voltage, depending on the temperature.

Optional external battery voltage and temperature sensor via Bluetooth
A Smart Battery Sense sensor or BMV-712 Smart battery monitor can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more charge controllers.

Will start charging even if the battery is discharged to zero volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium ion battery with internal disconnect function.

To connect to a VE.BUS BMS, for example.

Programmable relay
It can be programmed (among others with a smart phone) to trigger an alarm or other events.

Optional: connectable LCD display
Simply remove the rubber protector from the plug on the front of the controller and connect the display.
