Victron Smart BMS CL 12/100 - BMS110022000

The Victron Smart BMS CL 12/100 - BMS110022000 is a battery management system (BMS) for batteries. 12,8V Victron Lithium Battery Smart available with a nominal voltage of 12.8 V in different capacities. This is arguably the safest of all the most common lithium battery types.

The maximum number of batteries that the Victron Smart BMS CL 12/100 - BMS110022000 allows in a system is 20, which is a maximum energy storage of 84 kWh in a 12 V system. It is specifically designed for 12 V systems with a 12 V alternator, such as vehicles and boats.

Finally, note that it has a specific input for the alternator providing current limiting and unidirectional traffic from the alternator to the battery, so that you can safely connect a 12 V alternator of any size (and starter battery) to the lithium battery. In addition, it also integrates a load current limiter that protects the alternator from overloading.

It monitors and protects each of the battery cells inside the battery (or battery bank) and will disconnect the alternator, charging sources or DC loads in case of low or high battery cell voltage or overtemperature.

- Alternator with Alternator/Starter Batt+ port and battery protection: The input current of the Alternator/Starter Batt+ port is electronically limited to approximately 90 % of the fuse rating. A 100 A fuse, for example, will therefore limit the inrush current to approximately 90 A and thus protect the lithium battery from excessive charging current and the alternator from overcharging (most 12 V alternators will overheat and fail if operated at full output for more than 5 minutes).
- Remote on/off terminal: Can be used to interrupt the charging process via the Alternator port while keeping the BMS function active or as an on/off switch to shut down the system completely.
- Load and charger disconnect output1): The Smart BMS CL 12-100 monitors and protects each of the battery cells within the battery and will disconnect the alternator, charging sources or DC loads in the event of low or high battery voltage or overtemperature.
- Pre-alarm output: Can be used to drive a relay, LED or acoustic signal to issue a warning signal before the BMS disconnects the batteries from the system.
- Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration via our VictronConnect application.
