Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT)

Especially under cloudy skies, when light intensity changes continuously, an ultra-fast MPPT controller such as the Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/60-Tr - SCC010060200 charge controller will improve energy harvesting by up to 30 % compared to PWM charge controllers, and by up to 10 % compared to slower MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial cloud cover

In cases of partial cloudiness, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the load voltage curve.
Conventional MPPTs tend to select a local MPP, which may not be the optimal MPP.
BlueSolar's innovative algorithm will always maximize energy harvesting by selecting the optimal MPP.

Internal temperature sensor and optional external sensor for battery voltage, temperature and current via Bluetooth

A Smart Battery Sense sensor or a BMV-712 Smart battery monitor can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV-712 or SmartShunt) to one or more BlueSolar charge controllers. (A VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle is required).
