This MasterBus CANopen interface facilitates transparent bidirectional communication between MasterBus and the CANopen standard, which is used in numerous industrial and automotive automation applications.

Functionality

The programming of the MasterBus CANopen interface is easy and transparent, allowing complete monitoring and control of your system. Mastervolt from third party devices. The interface allows the programmer to create or read generic CANopen messages, as defined in the CiA 301 specification, thus maximizing design freedom for a system engineer.

Architecture

CANopen devices have access to all MasterBus devices. The exchange of information between CANopen and MasterBus is organized through the use of so-called data fields. Each individual MasterBus element, such as the state of charge of a battery or the on/off button of an inverter, can be accessed via one of these data fields. A maximum of 100 data fields can be configured. In addition to access to these individual elements, MasterBus Events can also be used and exchanged with CANopen. The open and transparent architecture of the MasterBus CANopen interface creates extensive possibilities for automation and monitoring.

Configuration

The interface can be configured manually using MasterAdjust. For quick configuration, a string mapping option is available. The MasterBus CANopen interface enables complete monitoring and control of any Mastervolt system via a CANopen compatible device or display, and facilitates complete and easy-to-use power supply systems within any mobile or industrial application.
