With integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor is ready for the era of the Internet of Things. Thanks to its wireless connection, it can communicate with other Victron products to simplify installation and improve performance.
With integrated Bluetooth connectivity, the BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor is ready for the era of the Internet of Things. Because most of the other products from Victron Energy have integrated Bluetooth, wireless communication between them simplifies system installation and improves system performance.
Use your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to:
- customize the settings,
- consult all important data on a single screen,
- view history data
- update the software as new features are added.
All electrical connections are made to the power shunt's quick connect PCB. The shunt is connected to the monitor via a standard RJ12 telephone cable.
Included: RJ 12 cable (10 m) and battery cable with fuse (2 m); no more required.
Also included is a front screen trim plate, square or round, a rear mounting ring and screws for front mounting.
This function is generally used to monitor large battery banks at a high cost. With the Victron BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor we can monitor this parameter for a much lower cost. A battery bank consists of a string of cells connected in series. The midpoint tension is the tension obtained in the middle of this chain. Ideally, the midpoint voltage would be exactly half of the total voltage. However, in practice, deviations will be seen depending on many factors, such as the different state of charge of new batteries or cells, their different temperatures, internal leakage currents, capacities and much more.
Significant or increasing deviations from mid-point voltage indicate improper maintenance or failure of a battery or cell. Corrective action taken after a mid-point voltage alarm can prevent possible damage to a battery.
Current consumption: 0.7Ah per month (1mA) @ 12V and 0.6Ah per month (0.8mA) @ 24V
In particular, Li-Ion batteries are virtually depleted of their capacity when they are discharged to the low voltage disconnection level.
After low voltage disconnection of the cells, the reserve capacity of a Li-ion battery is approximately 1Ah per 100Ah of capacity. The battery will be damaged if the capacity reserve remaining in the battery is removed. A residual current of 10mA, for example, can damage a 200 Ah battery if the system is left in a discharged state for more than 8 days.
Prevents the current drain from increasing in the event of an alarm.
- Voltage, current, power, ampere-hours consumed and state of charge of the battery
- Remaining autonomy at current discharge rate.
- Programmable visual and audible alarm
- Programmable relay, to disconnect non-critical loads or to start a generator if necessary.
- 500 amp quick connect shunt and connection kit
- Selection of shunt capacity up to 10,000 amps
- VE.Direct communication port
- Stores a wide range of historical data that can be used to assess usage patterns and battery condition
- Wide range of input voltage: 6.5 Ț "70V
- High current measurement resolution: 10 mA (0.01A)
- Additional input for measuring voltage (from a second battery), temperature or midpoint voltage and corresponding alarm and relay settings.
