The Victron SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery monitor that replaces the traditional shunt shunt. It integrates Bluetooth and VE.Direct port so you always know instantly the actual status of your battery without the need for a separate display.

Step-by-step installation
Installing the SmartShunt is easy. You just need some basic tools and follow these steps.
Disconnect the battery
Always disconnect the negative terminal of the battery before starting. Work safely.
Connect the shunt in series
The SmartShunt goes in the negative pole. Terminal B1 to battery negative, B2 to all loads and chargers.
Connect the V+ cable
The thin red wire (voltage reference) goes to the positive pole of the battery, protected by a 1A fuse near the battery.

📱 Steps in VictronConnect
- Download VictronConnect (iOS / Android)
- Activate Bluetooth on your mobile
- Open the app → the SmartShunt appears automatically.
- Click ⚙️ Configuration
- Enter the exact capacity of your bank
- Adjusts the Peukert factor according to the battery type.
- Performs a full load to synchronise the 100%
- You're done! Your readings are now accurate
✅ Professional advice
To properly synchronise the 100%: Fully charge the battery until the absorption current drops to 2-4% of rated capacity. The SmartShunt will automatically detect this state and adjust the SOC to 100%.
