The installation of this victron booster requires special attention to the connections and environment to ensure optimum performance and safe operation. These are the key steps and aspects for a correct installation:

1. Place of Installation

• The device must be installed on a solid and stable surface.
• There must be sufficient ventilation to prevent heat build-up, so leave space around the equipment when installing it.
• If you want to maintain IP43 protection against dust and splash water, the converter must be installed with the screw terminals facing downwards.

Prerequisites

• A standard screwdriver is required for the screw terminals.
• Use cables of sufficient cross-section to handle the input and output current of the device. Consult the manual to determine the proper size based on the distance between the converter and the batteries or load.
• It is recommended to include a fuse or circuit breaker in the connections to protect the booster and the batteries.

3. Input and Output Connection

• Input: Connect the input power cables to the converter, make sure the input voltage is within the range of 10-17 VDC. Check the polarity before connecting to avoid damage to the equipment, as the warranty does not cover damage due to reverse polarity.
