Parallel connection

• Up to 6 Phoenix Compact 12V 1600VA units can be connected, a standard RJ45 UTP cable is used to connect them together.
• Only identical devices may be connected in parallel.
• The DC connection cables for the devices must have the same length and cross-section.
• If a negative and positive DC distribution point is used, the cross-section of the cables connecting the batteries and the DC distribution point must be at least equal to the sum of the cross-sections of the cables required for the connections between the distribution point and the inverters.
• Place the inverters together leaving at least 10 cm for ventilation below, above and next to the units.
• UTP cables must be connected directly from one unit to the other (and to the remote panel). No junction/separation boxes are allowed.
• Only one remote control (panel or switch) can be connected to the system.

Three-phase operation

This inverter allows a three-phase star (Y) configuration. The Phoenix Compact 12V 1600VA is not suitable for a three-phase delta (Δ) configuration, but is connected between devices via standard RJ45 UTP cables (as for parallel operation).
