They are installed in the same way as a conventional battery: you do not need any additional electronics or special configuration.<br \/>\nThe 300 Ah version is the one to look out for if you live in a van: 3.8 kWh in a single unit, without having to connect several modules in parallel \u2013 and with all the wiring that entails.<\/p>\n<h2>What to expect from an entry-level lithium battery<\/h2>\n<p>Faced with a <a href=\"\/en\/product-category\/batteries\/agm-batteries\/\">AGM<\/a> with the same nominal capacity: half the weight, twice the actually usable energy and between five and ten times as many cycles. The difference compared with a <a href=\"\/en\/brand\/victron\/\">Victron<\/a> It\u2019s all about communication with the rest of the system and the level of support, not chemistry.<br \/>\nIf your setup is straightforward \u2014 panel, controller, battery and inverter \u2014 and you don\u2019t need the battery to report its status to the inverter, an Upower is perfectly adequate. If you\u2019re installing a complete Victron system with Cerbo and want DVCC control, the Smart range is the better choice.<\/p>\n<h2>How to charge it<\/h2>\n<p>With a LiFePO4 profile across all three sources: <a href=\"\/en\/product-category\/solar-charging-regulators\/mppt-regulators\/\">MPPT controller<\/a> from panels, <a href=\"\/en\/product-category\/battery-chargers\/converters\/\">DC-DC booster<\/a> from the alternator \u2014 never directly \u2014 and <a href=\"\/en\/product-category\/battery-chargers\/12-v-battery-charger\/\">220V charger<\/a> at a standstill.<br \/>\nRemember that a lithium battery must not be charged at temperatures below 0 \u00baC: if you\u2019re going to use the van in winter, check that the model has a low-temperature cut-off.<br \/>\nView all <a href=\"\/en\/product-category\/batteries\/12v-lithium-batteries\/\">12V lithium batteries<\/a>.
