The Victron Smart Battery Protect 12\/24V 220A - BPR122022000 disconnects non-essential loads from the battery before it is fully discharged (which would damage the battery) or before it runs out of charge enough to start the engine. The on\/off input can be used as a system on\/off switch.<\/p>\n

The Smart BatteryProtect detects the system voltage automatically and only once.<\/p>\n

Bluetooth: easy programming<\/h2>\n

When programming the Victron Smart Battery Protect 12\/24V 220A - BPR122022000 via Bluetooth, the desired activation\/deactivation levels can be defined. Alternatively, the programming pin can be used to define one of the nine activation\/deactivation levels (see manual).<\/p>\n

A special configuration for Li-Ion batteries<\/h2>\n

In this mode, BatteryProtect can be controlled via the VE.Bus BMS.
\nNote: BatteryProtect can also be used as a charging switch between a battery charger and a Li-ion battery. See the connection diagram in the manual.<\/p>\n

Ultra-low power consumption<\/h2>\n

This is important in the case of Li-Ion batteries, especially after a low voltage disconnection.<\/p>\n

Overvoltage protection<\/h2>\n

To prevent damage to sensitive loads due to overvoltage, the load is switched off when the DC voltage exceeds 16.3V or 32.6V respectively.<\/p>\n

Fireproofing<\/h2>\n

Without relays but with MOSFET switches, therefore no sparks.<\/p>\n

Delayed alarm output<\/h2>\n

The alarm output is activated if the battery voltage drops below the preset cut-off level for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, starting the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit proof open collector output on the negative (minus) rail, maximum current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate a buzzer, LED or relay.<\/p>\n

Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection<\/h2>\n
The load will be disconnected 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset level. If the battery voltage rises back to the switch-on threshold within this time period (after starting the engine, for example), the load shall not be disconnected.<\/div>\n
The load shall reconnect 30 seconds after the battery voltage has risen above the preset reconnection voltage.<\/div>\n
