Diode bridge Victron Argodiode 100-3AC - 3 batteries 100A - ARG100301000R<\/h2>\n

Diode bridges allow different batteries to be charged simultaneously from a single alternator without connecting the batteries together. Even when discharged, the batteries remain isolated, so that the use of the service battery, for example, cannot discharge the starter battery.<\/p>\n

ARGO diode bridges have a low voltage drop thanks to the use of Schottky diodes: at low current, the loss will be approximately 0.3 V, and at full output, 0.45 V. All models are equipped with a compensation diode which allows the alternator output voltage to be slightly increased to compensate for the voltage loss of the diode bridge. Alternator power input<\/h2>\n

Some alternators require a DC voltage at the B+ output to start charging. Obviously, DC will be present when the alternator is connected directly to the battery. However, if a diode bridge or FET separator is inserted, any voltage\/current return from the batteries to the B+ output will be prevented, and the alternator will not be activated.
\nThe new \"AC\" diode jumpers have a special current limiting input that will feed the B+ output when the motor start\/stop switch is closed.<\/p>\n
