Refer to the manual for additional details.

6-Stage Adaptive Charging Algorithm

The Phoenix Smart Charger uses an "adaptive" battery management system that adapts to different types of batteries. This algorithm automatically optimises the charging process according to battery usage.

Adaptive Absorption Time for the Correct Amount of Load

When the discharge is low, as in the case of a yacht connected to the pontoon, the absorption charging phase is shortened to avoid overcharging the battery. After a deep discharge, the absorption charge time is automatically increased to ensure a full recharge of the battery.

Preventing Damage from Excessive Gassing with BatterySafe Mode

The charger prevents damage from over-gassing by limiting the rate of voltage rise once the gassing voltage is reached during fast charging.

Storage Mode to Reduce Ageing

The storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged for 24 hours, reducing the float voltage to minimise gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. It is adjusted weekly to avoid battery problems.

Compatibility with Lithium Ion Batteries (LiFePO₄)

The charger can be controlled by a relay or an optocoupler connected to a Li-Ion BMS to switch on/off or control voltage and current via Bluetooth.

Programmable Loading Algorithm

The charging algorithm can be programmed via Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface, with three pre-programmed charging algorithms available.

Optional Battery Voltage and Temperature Sensor via Bluetooth

A Smart Battery Sense sensor or BMV-712 Smart battery monitor can be used to communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more Phoenix Smart IP43 chargers.

Remote On/Off function

Remote on/off can be configured via a specific switch, relay or cable connection. Refer to the manual for precise details.

VE.Direct interface

Provides a wired data connection to GX devices, such as the Victron Cerbo GX MK2 Monitoring - BPP900451100and other devices, by enabling the Instant Readout function via VictronConnect remotely from the VRM.

Programmable Relay

The relay can be programmed via VE.Direct or Bluetooth to trigger alarms and other events.

Synchronised Charging

You can pair two or more Phoenix Smart IP43 chargers in a VE.S network for synchronised charging.

Datasheet Victron Phoenix Smart Charger IP43 12/30 (3)
