The transient arrester diverts short-duration spikes caused by lightning strikes or switching operations on the mains to earth, protecting household appliances, electronic equipment, inverters and chargers.<\/p>\n<p>As everything comes fully integrated and pre-wired from the factory, it saves space in the switchboard and reduces installation time compared with fitting an IGA, a permanent
